However, a retreat was impossible for one-third of Machenrauch’s forces had traveled up through Avernus, attacked Temeria and now flanked Mulciber’s army pushing them deeper into the corridor. They had successfully pursued and pushed Mulciber’s army into the longest portion of a passageway from Temeria to Acheron. Now trapped, the Anatalians had nowhere to go.

The worst was to come as Machenrauch’s mages employed spells that worked specifically against the Anatalian’s formerly superior armor and weapons. Massive magnetic charges were unleashed into the middle of the group causing them to crush together. The brass armor and weapons wielded by Acheron’s army was unaffected by these spells. The mages slammed the entirety of the Anatalian army together forcing them together as if they were crushed by a giant fist.
